If you don't want to go through the hassle of making the pastry, this is another short cut way of making tuna puff. I used the frozen prata bought from NTUC to subsitute the pastry. The taste is not far from the usual tuna puff. I believe this bake version is slightly healthier than the deep fried one.
Shot-Cut Tuna Puff
Ingredients:
1 can tuna mayonnaise
2 whole large onions (finely cut)
some pepper
8 slices prata (I used chinatown brand)
Method:
1. Mix well the tuna mayonnaise, onions and pepper in a bowl
2. Cut the prata into half.
3. Wrap the ingredients into the prata. Use a fork to press on the edge of the fold to create some patterns. It will be easy to cut and wrap the prata when it is still semi-frozen as it turns sticky when soft.
4. Bake in pre-heated oven at 170 degC for 20 mins or until golden brown.
